Call me Gracie!
Everyone who knows me calls me Gracie. Consider this our introduction.
I am an actor, singer, and improviser from Walnut Creek, CA: a great town with no walnuts and a mostly paved over creek. I now count myself a pseudo resident of both NY and CA. I’m keeping my CA driver’s license (shhhh). Who has time for the bureaucracy! And I have roots in both. It’s fair. I earned it.
I come to NYC by way of Ohio, having graduated with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Philosophy from Otterbein University. In college, I acted on stage and on screen, directed, and discovered a lasting love of improv and comedy.
In my free time, you can find me doing improv around the city, working on my French, wearing sweaters that my mom knit, and talking about my family and our chickens.
Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful collaborators. Earlier this fall, I did The Woman in Black at Weston Theater Company and directed by Jacob Basri. I also originated the role of The Spiral in Straight Icons at Ars Nova. Recently, I had the pleasure of returning to the role at New York Comedy Festival/The Second City. Other Credits: Much Ado About Nothing (SPARC’s Shakespeare in the Vineyard), Silent Sky (SPARC’s Shakespeare in the Vineyard), a staged reading of THE COMMAND CENTER (Laguardia Performing Arts Center’s Rough Draft Festival 2024), and a staged reading of Protect the Protectors (The Tank). In between everything, I did many short films that you haven’t seen. Coming Soon: The short that I co-wrote and co-starred in, “Some Body Any Body!”
